Something Old, New, Borrowed, Blue

OLD, NEW, BORROWED, BLUE....

The rhyme appears to originate in England, an 1898 compilation of English folklore recites that:

"Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue & A Sixpence in her shoe!

Today's traditions may be slightly different from that of days gone by but still hold true to the bride to be, for Good Luck.  How about some of the more recent trends to go along with the verse.

OLD - How about a "Tussy Mussy". A tussy mussy is a Victorian-style bouquet where a small group of flowers is placed in a metal vase (tussy mussy) specifically designed to be carried,  You can find a tussy mussy on Amazon.

NEW - Lingerie holds up well in this category.  Something sexy and new to surprise your hubby!

BORROWED - I like the idea to borrow your husband's last name, after all it will be yours soon!  A nice place to use this idea is to have your veil bottom embroidered with you new monogram.

BLUE - This one is a NO-Brainer,  you have to go with the kick-ass shoes...

Tradition is Good!
